Unlocking Abilities Together

Our aim is to remove barriers into/in work and sport for minoritised communities.

Everyone should have a chance to do what they love, and we can help to facilitate that through:

  • Bespoke Training

  • Consultancy

  • Public speaking

  • Challenging stereotypes in community workshops

  • Championing minoritised communities

  • Assessing the accessibility of sites and web assets.

Our Vision

To build a working world that is accessible to everyone, regardless of background or diversity.

Is there an issue?

We all lead drastically different lives and experience completely different treatment based on who we are, where we come from, and how we look. This seeps into all aspects of life, work and social life. Often, without diverse perspectives, we can be completely unaware of the barriers that people face in seemingly inclusive spaces.

Regardless of who we are, we have all felt alone, or isolated at some points in our lives. Whether that is walking into a new place, starting a new job, or turning up to an event or party. Now imagine that feeling of isolation, and a general lack of belonging, everywhere you go.

This is what some people from minoritised communities have to go through every day when they attend work, school, or accessing community-based facilities. Often leading to these people disengaging from a service or pursuing a career. Dampening your profits and limiting your potential staff base.

But it is treatable, by implementing inclusive changes, or how you welcome newcomers, we can completely transform the experiences individuals have in your services, or workplaces. These changes don’t have to be expensive or grandiose, sometimes it’s the thoughtful, human touches that mean the most to people.

At Unlocking Abilities Together, we can help you reach these solutions to ensure your organisations, venues and services are open to prospective and internal team members. As well as, opening the doors of your venues in the most inclusive way possible for your service users.
